YachtCam International, Inc.,
introducer of the all new RGV1 (Running Gear Video 1), specializes in the distribution of video cameras and accessories specifically designed for nautical use. We offer a full line of underwater and harsh environment video equipment, underwater lights and accessories for yacht owners and other sports enthusiasts.
Our underwater video equipment has been used for deep
water expeditions, sports fishing, commercial and sport diving, marine studies,
swim training, marine security, etc., and can be used in conjunction with
our harsh weather deck, engine room, or masthead security cameras as a full CCTV system.
Our
newest underwater video camera is the
first of its kind and will quickly become
a boater’s best friend. Named the “
Running Gear Video 1” (RGV1), this
hydrodynamic camera housing is mounted to the bottom of a vessel's hull and is the
first camera that allows a captain to monitor what is happening below the
waterline
while underway!
Statistics
tell us that the majority of damage is done to running gear when the captain is unaware
of a problem and continues to run the vessel. Most yacht owners are well aware of the thousands of dollars involved in repairing or replacing a vessel's running gear (e.g. propellers, shafts, struts, stabilizers, etc.). With the RGV1, a problem can be
clearly identified and preventive measures taken before any damage occurs - essential for those who enjoy cruising out-of-the-way waters!
Whether it’s the anchor rode of a neighboring vessel, the high tensile line of
a stray crab pot, or a deadhead you didn’t see but heard thumping down the
hull, the safety and security advantages of having a clear, real time view of the underside of your vessel are undeniable.
YachtCam International also carries a full line of low light / infrared cameras for use on deck, masthead or in the engine room. These cameras can be combined with the RGV1 for a complete CCTV system, giving you absolute confidence in the security of your vessel.
All of our video cameras are compatible with any CCTV system. Images can be sent to multiple monitors, giving you unsurpassed flexibility, and the monitor screens can be split into as many as 4 parts to view images from up to four cameras at once, or images can sequence automatically. With multiple monitors, you can keep an eye on things from anywhere in your vessel.
The new RGV1 will also be popular with fishermen who currently enjoy the use of our through hull "Dropshot" camera. And with the addition of underwater lights, all manner of sea life will be attracted to your vessel - great for fishing or just viewing the underwater world! With the addition of a DVD recorder (DVR), you can take home not just memories, but an underwater video of your vacation or "the one that got away"!
